Sushi

$125.00

I love playing with unique colors and limited palettes. For this painting I used only three colors. Titanium White is a fairly ubiquitous and necessary pigment. But the other two are fairly wild selections: Phthalo Turquoise and Napthol Red. So much fun seeing how big of a universe I could build using these two pigments. Turns out it's a fairly wide and interesting sandbox to play in. I love how this turned out with a lot of interesting mark making, atmosphere, and color harmonies. This painting is based on a photo I took while dining at one of my favorite San Diego sushi places that is now no more, North Park Sushi.

Oil painting using limited palette on 6x8" paper. Painted image measures 5x7"

Framed (may differ from one in photos).
