Nuttall's Woodpecker

Based on a Nuttall's Woodpecker that created residence outside my studio window in the decaying trunk of a bloomed century plant (Agave Americana). I was riveted by his presence and progress. I watched it build its home, find a mate, and eventually three baby woodpeckers appeared (one pictured poking its head out) from inside the tiny confines of his home.
