Calla Lily With Blue Background

I purchased a beautiful calla lily plant from the store and once on my patio it erupted into an array of multi-colored lilies. However, one small flower's stem started to lean and then droop. To rescue it from an inevitable fate and embarrassment among its fellow lilies, I cut its stem and placed the flower in a small vase that stood on my desk. It held its beautiful color and shape for the longest time and I decided to paint it as it stood valiantly next to me.
